A heartwarming photo showing an anonymous woman helping a young man to tie his tie has been making the rounds on the internet.

The young man was reportedly traveling on the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) from San Francisco to West Oakland on an early Sunday evening with his friend, reported SFGate.

Michael McCormack, who said he was on the train, witnessed the two young men, both clad in suits, mimicking “instructional YouTube videos to get the one kid’s tie tied.” The boys were getting a little flustered after failing to accomplish the task.

As they struggled, one woman chipped in and asked if they needed help. “Immediately, the kid said ‘Yes,’” McCormack said.

Wasting no time, the woman got down to work on the kid’s tie.

However, the best take of this story was the moment when the woman almost missed her stop at 12th Street, but luckily, “the whole train helped her”—an instant repayment for her good deed!

Netizens were really impressed with the woman for her act of kindness.

“The biceps, the sunglasses, the card in the mouth… so suave,” one Reddit user wrote.

While others shared their own life experiences.

“I grew up in a family of women so my sister had to show me how to shave and tie a tie, but she never wore one in her life. I asked her how she learned, to which she responded, ‘Had to learn for you,’” one social media user wrote.

In 2015, a photo of an elderly couple helping a youngster with his tie at Lindbergh Center station, Atlanta, Georgia, also went viral. This sweet photo was captured by commuter Redd Desmond Thomas before he hopped on the train.

Thomas shared the photo on Facebook, writing, “The young guy sitting down was struggling with his tie. The woman in the red coat noticed, and asked ‘Do you know how to tie it properly?’ The young guy said ‘No ma’am.’”

The elderly woman immediately tapped her husband, asking him to give the youngster a necktie lesson.

“The older gentleman moved without hesitation [almost a reflex response] and gave him a step-by-step tutorial; then – afterward – the elder gentleman watched the young gentleman repeat the steps and show him that he had it.”

“I LOVE THIS!” Thomas wrote. And so did many netizens!

Thomas’s post spread like wildfire, garnering more than 977,000 reactions.

“It’s not the big things but the small ones that sometimes make the biggest impact,” another opined.

Indeed, sometimes it just takes a small act of kindness to brighten someone’s day!
